Things that are 23 Weeks + 5 days

How far along: 23 weeks + 5 days

Total weight gain: 23 pounds so far.

Maternity clothes: Loving them! They are comfortable, though my jeans always seem to fall down if I walk too much. I still wish they had belt loops so you could pull them up that way.

Stretch marks: Don't have any stretch marks as of this morning.

Best moment this week: I had my last day at work on Friday. It was both exciting and sad. I have been there for 4 years, and I have grown to love a lot of the people I work with. I know it's not the end and I can still see them, but it's sad that I won't get to see them every day.

Miss anything: I know that my lack of sleep is only going to get worse from here, but I do miss it.

Movement: It has been good and bad. I've scared myself a few times into thinking I laid on my belly wrong or my back and I hurt the baby. But then I poke and prod at my belly and he seems to move. I still only feel him below my belly button. I have started getting weird twitches/muscle spasms other places on my belly.

Food cravings: Nothing out of what I've been normally eating this week.

Anything make you queasy or sick: This week has been good! Nothing has made me sick.

Have you started to show yet: All the time now.

Happy or moody most of the time: I've been more moody this week than any other week. I know stress causes my moodiness, and because I was leaving my job I think that caused me to be on edge.

Symptoms: Nothing aside from my hips aching. Which I'm going in for another massage this next week, so that should help.

Belly button in or out: Belly button is still tucked in.

Looking forward to: Being able to get a few more hours of sleep. I have a doctors appointment, and this upcoming week marks "viability" for us. I never thought we would ever get to this point. I can't believe the day is getting closer and closer to meeting our little boy.

Things that are Week 22+ 5 days

How far along: 22 weeks + 5 days

Total weight gain: I didn't weigh myself this week.

Maternity clothes: Wearing them all the time now.

Stretch marks: Still haven't seen any stretch mark.

Best moment this week: I got to go for a 3 mile walk/run. It was so nice and the weather was perfect. I also got a hair cut and color.

Miss anything: Not really missing much this week.

Movement: It's been more and more consistent. It still feels like bubbles in my belly.

Food cravings: Chips and salsa. We went out to lunch as a team and I had 3 bowls by myself. It was pretty good.

Anything make you queasy or sick: I was doing a relaxation one night this week and got really nauseous during it.

Have you started to show yet: Yes, through any shirt.

Happy or moody most of the time: Overall I've been happy, but have been upset a few times.

Symptoms: Just been uncomfortable this week.

Belly button in or out: Still an innie.

Looking forward to: My last day of work is this Friday. I'm looking forward to being able to focus on other projects and maybe find a part-time job. We'll see how it it plays out.

Things that are Week 21+5 days

How far along: 21 weeks + 5 days

Total weight gain: I've actually only gained 20 pounds. I was off last week. I guess that shows that your weight fluctuates from day to day.

Maternity clothes: Wearing them all the time now.

Stretch marks: Still no stretch marks.

Best moment this week: I got a massage on Monday, and at first it made my hip pretty sore. But I actually am feeling much better. I also think our new mattress is helping too. Though I am still struggling to get back to sleep after I wake up to use the bathroom.

Miss anything: Being able to eat deli meats. I miss being able to eat pepperoni.

Movement: I've been feeling movement more and more. Chase still hasn't been able to feel it. I'm not sure when I will be able to feel it with my hands. He is most active at night after dinner, and sometimes in the morning.

Food cravings: Fatty foods, and french fries, and some sugar thrown in there too.

Anything make you queasy or sick: Nothing made me queasy this week.

Have you started to show yet: Yes, almost through any shirt.

Happy or moody most of the time: I was happy earlier in the week and pretty moody and upset most of Saturday and Sunday. I think a lot of which was because of lack of sleep.

Symptoms: Not really any symptoms, aside from feeling uncomfortable at night.

Belly button in or out: Still an innie.

Looking forward to: I'm getting a haircut this week and going to a bridal fair this upcoming weekend with my new soon-to-be sister-in-law.

Things that are Week 20 + Gender Reveal

How far along: 20 weeks + 5 days

Total weight gain: 22 pounds

Maternity clothes: I've been wearing them throughout the week now.

Stretch marks: No stretch marks yet.

Best moment this week: There are actually LOTS! We found out 100% what we are having (we had an early ultrasound from a friend before Christmas). We had a gender reveal party with lots of friends and family. Chase's brother got engaged! And we got a new mattress! I also used my deep relaxation techniques at our OB appointment and Chase did awesome with light touch on my back and trying to get me to focus on relaxing. When they first checked my blood pressure it was 140/60, which is super high. After my appointment and trying to focus on relaxing, I was able to get my blood pressure down to 107! Baby's heartbeat on the ultrasound was 155!

Miss anything: Being able to sleep on any side I want to. It's been a bit rough this week as far as being able to sleep. I've always had problems with my SI joint (the joints that connect your hip and your back) and hips, and pregnancy makes it more uncomfortable.

Movement: I told my OB on Tuesday that I still haven't felt anything and that worried me. Halfway through pregnancy and still haven't felt your baby, how do you know if things are going okay? Well that night, I was craving candy and if you know me, I don't eat or get candy cravings. So I ate an entire bag of Winco bulk cherry flavored gummie bears! About an hour or two after I started feeling something low, where my uterus normally sits, and it was consistent. I figured that was the baby, and have tried to focus on what that feeling was. So far I have only felt it early in the morning, and late at night. But as I type this it has been consistent throughout the day.

Food cravings: Candy and sweets.

Anything make you queasy or sick: I started feeling more nauseous this week, and that usually leads to me eating out more. When I feel sick I don't want to cook.

Have you started to show yet: Yes, I have a nice little belly bump.

Happy or moody most of the time: I've been a bit more happy this week.

Symptoms: Not able to eat as much as I normally would, and I get overfull quite frequently.

Belly button in or out: Still an innie.

Looking forward to: Our last hypnobirthing class. I am getting a massage tomorrow and hopefully that will help my hips. I'm going to try real hard to work out this week.

We are so very grateful to be having a little boy! Miracles still do happen every day!
