Things that are Pregnancy Week 19


How far along: 19 weeks +5 days!

Total weight gain: At least 17 pounds

Maternity clothes: I've been wearing more maternity shirts this week compared to last week. I'm still sporting the maternity pants, though I have been having issues with them falling off me. So I'm constantly pulling them up.

Stretch marks: I haven't noticed anything this week.

Best moment this week: We got the baby's room all painted - a nice gray. We sold our couch that was in our upstairs loft and sold our spare bed. We're planning on getting a purple mattress this next month when our tax return comes back, and will move our bed into our other spare room. The loft is looking cleaner and more open. I've been feeling extra tired this week so I was only able to go to barre class once.

Miss anything: Being able to take medicine without thinking of how it will affect the baby.

Movement: Still nothing this week. I'm always a little worried when I hear others saying they can feel the baby, but I still can't. I was told the placenta was posterior, so I was hoping I would feel movement sooner.

Food cravings: Fruit and Veggies. It all tastes so clean and fresh.

Anything make you queasy or sick: Nothing this week aside from if I don't eat I start feeling nauseous.

Have you started to show yet: Still showing, a little more each day.

Happy or moody most of the time: This week I've seemed to be a bit more emotional. I'm sure it's due to the fact that we find out what we're having next week. I tend to get infertility PTSD when it comes to appointments so I start stressing and worrying before each appointment.

Symptoms: I finally got leg cramps in both legs last night and I woke up and took some Tylenol to help with the cramps. Other than that I don't have any other symptom.

Belly button in or out: It's getting closer to being an outie, but still a few weeks away, I think.

Looking forward to: Finding out the gender this week. I'm planning on practicing my relaxation techniques when I'm in the waiting room to help me stay focused and relaxed. I'll let you know how it goes!

Things that are Pregnancy After Infertility + Pregnancy Update

If you missed the update, Chase and I found out we were pregnant back in October. We told our families on Christmas and it was a huge surprise to all! We got asked by Chase's parents if we were adopting. We were told last August that I would never be a biological mother. That my egg quality and supply were all gone. After 1 cycle we were pregnant on our own. We thank God every day for this miracle.


My friend Elena over at baby Ridley bump. has a really cute way on how she's documenting her pregnancy and thought I would jump on the band wagon cause I'm a follower sometimes. :P

How far along: 18 weeks + 5 days!



Total weight gain: Unsure, since I stopped recording after it passed 160.

Maternity clothes: I've started wearing more pregnancy pants. I bought some jeggings and I can still fit in those which is nice. The rest of my pants are a bit tight now, and are really uncomfortable to work in. I am able to wear my work shirts (old race shirts) still, but I am showing with those shirts.

Stretch marks: I think I saw one appearing around my belly button, but we'll see shortly if that will really stretch more.

Best moment this week: We cleaned out the baby's room, and are going to prep to paint it within the next few weeks. I also was able to go workout more this week. I've been sick with a sore throat and cough the past few weeks so I've been taking it easy. We have also been attending a weekly hypnobirthing class (which is just deep relaxation) and enjoy learning about how to relax more (with daily practice) and birth affirmations have been really helpful in preparing myself to not be fearful for whats to come.

Miss anything: Being able to lay on my stomach in bed.

Movement: None yet, but I'm hopeful that it will happen soon!

Food cravings: Green Smoothies.

Anything make you queasy or sick: Still garlic and now tomatoes (which I already dislike, but now its even more. This includes salsa and spaghetti sauce which I used to enjoy). No more chips and salsa that I enjoy so much. Onions too.

Have you started to show yet: Yes! I can tell it's not just fat too. Kind of crazy to feel a big bubble in my belly.

Happy or moody most of the time: I've been overall happy, but have my occasional bouts of moodiness, which comes mostly when I haven't gotten enough sleep.

Symptoms: I've had an occasional heartburn, my hips hurt a lot when I sit or lie down for too long, and I'm overall tired (even with going to sleep around 9 every night.

Belly button in or out: It's definitely in, but it's not as deep as it has been.

Looking forward to: Being able to workout next week and our hypnobirthing class. We're also out of debt and now able to start saving money for baby's coming. Which is a great accomplishment!

We've had a few bump shots and it's exciting to see how much my belly is starting to show more and more.
