Things that need to stay in Vegas! Day 3

Day 3 started off with us going to Denny's for breakfast and hitting up Ross, where Alli & I got some super cute shoes. After that we took the tram up to the Venetian and picked up our tickets to go see that night's performance of Phantom of the Opera.

After we picked up our tickets to the show we rode the tram back to our hotel to change and go to the pool. We get down to the pool and it was hot and ridiculously crowded. We get into the pool and the pool was all foggy from all the sweaty people. It was really gross and I WAS NOT impressed. Plus they allowed booze in the pool. It wouldn't have been so bad if they had a kiddy pool where alcohol wasn't allowed, but whatever. I actually like to play in the pool not just stand around talking.

After the pool (like 1/2 hour - seriously how lame it was) we went back to our hotel room and watched some Olympics. Then got ready to go to see Phantom.

We had a little time to kill so we went to a few of the shops there. Chase loves Twizzler's and we found a huge bag at this shop. :) He was so excited! :)

All of us in front of the theater.

The next day we headed home. We stopped in Beaver and took a few pictures at a huge rocking chair.

We had a lot of fun! Hopefully I won't get lung cancer from inhaling so much cigarette smoke. I probably won't be back to Vegas for a long time. Well, I guess I just said all that should have stayed in Vegas... :) opps!

Things that need to stay in Vegas! Day 2

Our second day started off with a "live it up again!"
Photobucket

Our first stop of the day was going to be the temple, but remember that I forgot my temple recommend? Well I had a talk with my bishop and he said all the temple would need to do would be to have the temple call him/someone in the stake to verify that I have a valid recommend.
So I tried calling a bunch of people in the bishopric to have someone besides the bishop verify me (because Bishop was going to be camping and no where near phone service). Could not get a hold of anyone to verify me. Well Brad suggested that I at least try talking to them. Chase gave his recommend to the temple worker and got talking to him about where his Palmer's ancestors were from. Then Chase mentioned that I had forgotten my recommend at home and the temple worker said "you look like temple going people" and he let me in. Then Brad said "wanna see her garments!?" :) Thanks Brad. :) I did feel very odd, like I had gotten in without paying, if that makes any sense.

For lunch we went to my FAVORITE restaurant in the whole world! Panera Bread. mmmm Interesting fact that I have to share... They don't have Panera Bread in Utah. Panera Bread bought out a company called Paradise Bakery. But one thing to point out is that it's NOTHING like Panera and is 5x more in price and the food isn't really that great. Plus they don't have my favorite muffin - Pumpkin Muffin, nor do they have a good bakery at all. So it was an awesome treat to go there and have lunch, this time NOT getting the Mozzarella & Tomato Salad. :)

After that we checked into the MGM Grand, and Brad got the nick name "Grabby" :) Story: We were just checking in and for some reason Brad grabbed the lady's monitor and then she was explaining the mini bar and fridge and said "watch it grabby." :)

After we checked in we headed out to the strip! We went to the M&M factory & The Coca Cola Factory.
Photobucket
We watched a movie at the M&M factory. We took this picture of us. :) It was 3D, hence the glasses.

We met up with Brad & Alli's friends who live in Vegas.

We ended the night with meeting Las Vegas Super Hero's (we really did want wonder woman in our photo too). They invited us down in October for an event. Which we may go down there for Chase. Plus it would be fun to see our friends too. :)

Onto our final day - Seeing the show what we came for! :)

Things that need to stay in Vegas! Day 1

We started our Journey Thursday morning, while everyone was at work. :)
Photobucket
We headed down to Vegas at about 9:30 after dropping the dog off at my parents house. He got to play with Sam the whole weekend. :) He loved it!

So we get down to St. George and were planning on going to the temple before we headed to Vegas. We changed clothes at a park and I went to go check to see if I had my temple recommend. Well sure enough I didn't have it. :S We ended up not going and I was really bummed. :(

We had to sort of chill before we picked Alli & Brad up at the airport on our way these are a few photos we saw:

The Little White Chapel.

Photobucket
Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. You know this pawn shop by the tv show Pawn Stars. :) Nope we didn't get to meet Chumlee or Old Man. :)

Photobucket
The first night we stayed at The Plaza. It had just gotten a makeover and we got a nights stay for $30! Can't beat that! :)

Photobucket
Heard of Fremont street? It was pretty cool. The last time I was at Fremont street and did the Fremont street experience was when I was 11, when we drove down to visit my Granddaddy Alexx who was playing in a Bridge tournament.

Proof that we experience the old strip

Stay tuned for day 2... :)
