The look of "WHAT MESS!?"

Don't you love it when dogs give you the look like; "I didn't do anything wrong!" Well you can't really get mad at them because for one they are too darn cute, and two they won't understand why you are yelling at them. So my lovely question tonight, is what do you do when puppy's play with their poop ON your furniture. Mainly the chair.

See here's the deal, we got this spray called Bitter Apple, and it's supposed to get them to NOT chew or eat anything that they are supposed to eat. Well it's worked for the past few weeks, AND THEN tonight and a few other nights Hurley totally chewed on our cushion and ripped it, and pulled out a lot of the stuffing. Any idea's on how to get him to stop? I'm getting so sick of him doing this. I think it's time to go get more toys for him. It's not like we don't give him bones (he just likes chewing it on us). Here's some pictures of the mess. I hope you don't get sick from it.

Now do you see why we love leaving him home for 6 hours?

What to do?
What to do?

  1. Woooooow. Have you tried keeping him locked in a bathroom or the kitchen with a gate while you're gone? We keep Joey in the kitchen with a gate up so he can't get onto the furniture while we're gone for 5 hours every day. I hope things get better, your dog is still just a puppy right so it's bound to get better, just hang in there :)

  2. We tried that when he was really little, but the gate wasn't strong enough. He knocked it down. He does really good when he is able to go outside. We'll definitely get a bigger gate for him when we get into our new place. Just a few more weeks. :) Thanks for the encouragement!

  3. He's just a hungry dog!!! That's what happens when you name him after Hurley, the big appetite man, from Lost.

p.S. I'm sorry this is all happening to you both but I also have to confess these stories crack me up.
